Huge hotel with marvellous and stunning location near a cliff, charming restaurants and shops and the sea and town. Polite and lovely members of the staff from cleaners to management.
Beds were very hard.

Hotel Minerva is situated around 500 metres south of the centre of Sorrento about 10 minutes easy slightly downhill walk. You can catch bus "A" if you feel lazy - it is just outside to hotel. We stayed in room 620 which was excellent and decorated in typical Italian style - tiled floor. The staff referred to this as the honeymoon room. It had 3 windows with the best views of the coastline north across to Naples and Mt Vesuvius. The staff were extremely friendly and made you feel at home. Reception is on level 5 which has a huge terrace with plenty of seating and views mentioned above as well as curved spa/pool. Another terrace and pool is situated on the top - 3floors above. Breakfast good - typical italian style. Would highly recommend.

Family must consider it
The staff here were just very nice! I mean I was kinda surprised when they remembered my favorite drink after just one evening.
It wasn't inexpensive, but for what you get, it was acceptable.

The kindness of the staff and their concern to make us spend the best possible our holidays. In addition it has all the facilities in excellent condition, in my opinion it is more than four stars: it has a beautiful pool on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, gym and a charming dining room.
It's not the hotel's fault, it's a long distance from the center, but it's solved with a bus that passes by every 15 minutes.

The view from our balcony was amazing, and we loved relaxing at the rooftop pool. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly, especially Nino and Antonio. Don't miss the opportunity to visit nearby Amalfi and Pompeii while you're here!
The location is a bit of a trek uphill from town, which might be challenging after a long day of exploring. But it did feel nice to walk off dinner! Just plan accordingly.

Friendly and helpfull reception and most staff. Amazing views. Great location 15 - 20 minute walk along the cliff out of Sorrento. Great lunches on the terrace. We could have stayed forever. October was a great time to go as fewer tourists were in Sorrento.
Not such a good breakfast and terrible coffee. There was not enough fresh healthy food offered.

We have found the Minerva to be a truly friendly hotel, it is well located with stunning views over Sorrento and the Bay of Napkes. Far enough out of the center of town for a bit of piece and quiet but close enough to walk into Sorrento itself.
Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Very clean environment. Service throughout was excellent.
